AF 49 creates a strong, even and compact base that allows ACE or PE topcoats to perform at their best – with clean flow, accurate colour, hardness and long-term durability.
In the ACE segment (Agriculture, Construction, Earthmoving), where equipment is exposed daily to abrasion, UV, vibration and demanding cleaning, this combination gives manufacturers confidence in a finish that will last for years.

Why AF 49?

• Levels the surface and equalises absorption – the ideal foundation for ACE and PE topcoats.
• Fast drying – surface dry (stage 1) after 15 minutes, handling possible after approximately 3 hours.
• Two process options – traditional sandable filler or wet-on-wet for maximum speed.
• High filling power and easy sanding – without clogging the abrasive.
• No sagging even at higher film builds (up to 350 µm WFT) – stable film on vertical surfaces.
• Versatile application – airless/airmix, conventional spraying, brush and roller.

How AF 49 works in practice

AF 49 forms a stable, continuous and precisely controllable film. It eliminates surface irregularities and gives the topcoat the conditions it needs to achieve uniform flow and a smooth final appearance.

With a wet-on-wet process, overall processing time is further reduced – ideal for serial production where every pass through the spray booth counts.
